A funeral will follow at 12:00pm at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private. Bob, son of Phyllis (Waznikowski) and William Dubee was born in New York City, grew up Queens, and moved to Westbury, Long Island where he attended Westbury High School. Bob earned a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Farmingdale University, Long Island. After graduation he moved to South Orange, NJ where he worked for Bartlett Tree Experts as a salesman. He was so proud of the on-going company, Greenwood Tree Experts, that he and his brother-in-law, John Woytas, began in 1970 with a single truck and chainsaw and is now run by their sons. After retiring, Bob found his passion for playing golf, traveling and attending his grandchildren’s activities. His bright smile and laughter will be deeply missed by family and friends. Bob served in the National Guard and was active in volunteering his time to Morris Plains. Bob served as President of the Morris Plains Rotary and was a two-time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He loved all the hands-on experiences of the Flag project, updating Simons Park playground and the Pavilion at Community Park but selling hot dogs at the Annual Block Dance was his favorite. Bob volunteered his time to the Morris Plains Hockey League as Treasurer, the Morris Plains Recreation Committee and Shade Tree Committee. Bob was also past President of the NJ Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Woytas), his daughter Christine and her husband Peter Croonquist; Son David and his wife Kathleen (Donnelly); 5 grandchildren who were his joy, Andrew & Kate Croonquist, Jack, Ryan and Brady Dubee. He is survived by his sister, Laraine Porcari and her husband Phil. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Morris Plains Rotary, P.O. Box 153, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 or plant a memorial tree in a National or State Park via www.alivingtribute.org. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of NJ and Arden Courts, Whippany for their care and compassion.
