Obituary of James P. Donnelly

James P. “Jimmy” Donnelly, 78, of Morris Plains, NJ, passed away March 5, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center. Jimmy was born in East Orange, NJ before moving to Short Hills, NJ and then to Morris Plains, where he has resided for the past ten years. Jimmy graduated from Oratory Preparatory School, Summit in 1960 and went on to proudly join the National Guard from 1960-1963. Before his retirement in March of 2020, Jimmy was a Courier for Impulse Courier in Whippany, NJ for nine years Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Donnelly, his devoted children, Patrick Donnelly, and his wife, Cydelle, Theresa Donnelly Kaniuk, and her husband, Robert, Brian Donnelly and Robert Donnelly, and his wife, Linda. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Daniel, Amy, Sam, Sydney, Lily, Cheri and Taylor, cherished siblings, Mary Jane Semcer, and her husband, Frank, Elizabeth Christian, and Frank Donnelly and many beloved nieces and nephews. Jimmy is predeceased by his beloved son, Michael Donnelly. Funeral Services are private to family. We ask that you please keep Jimmy and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
