Bernard, you are one of my favorite people ever, along with your wonderful Elaine. I always remember with great pleasure the brief times we got to spend together at our annual stenciling convention, including the traditional sharing of a banquet table, and how you attempted to save me from my own worst instincts and obsessions.There was no one I looked more forward to seeing every year. My wife was also diagnosed with esophageal cancer 5 years ago and had a major experimental surgery to have it removed, which was successful, and still no signs or recurrences to this day. So now I will also think of you in that regard, Bernard, as we celebrate each additional day of living we are fortunate enough to enjoy. All the best my friend! George Zaffle

To Elaine, Gregory, Gene and Marianne and your families. I am sure my words of sympathy cannot lessen the loss of your Bernie to all of you and your families. I share with you the deep loss of Bernie to your families and to your children. I have fond memories of all of you and share in your loss. I remember the times we had when we were in Community College together and later on when Bernie met Elaine and had Gregory and Gene and also some of the fine times I had with Bernie's Mother and Dad. These are truly fond memories which I will always cherish. With all my heart, I wish you and your families as easy a transition as you can have without Bernard and hope that like me you will find some comfort in reflecting on and cherishing the good memories we all had with Bernie. My wife, Rochelle and I send you this thought. You are all in our hearts as we share the loss of Bernie Alan and Shelly Feiertag

Remembering Mr. Gianuzzi (which even as an adult I would have referred to him as that is the only way we did growing up) and praying for his family during this difficult time. Will always treasure my memories of Bernie! As my first husband, Alan's best friend, we all spent lots of time together. He was a great help in renovating our first home, and his smile and confidence was CONTAGIOUS! Most of all, his "caring heart",was the most precious part of him, and he will NEVER be forgotten!
