Marilyn LoMonaco, 82, of Glacier Hills, Parsippany, New Jersey, passed away April 16, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Marilyn resided in Paterson until she moved to Glacier Hills in Parsippany, where she lived for 54 years. Marilyn graduated from Morris County Community College with highest honors and then went on to graduate from Thomas Edison State University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Before her retirement in 2006 , Marilyn was the Manager of the Medical Education Department, where she was affectionately known as "Mom" to residents and students, at Morristown Medical Center for ten years. Involved in many clubs and activities, Marilyn was a member of the Octogenarian Travel Club, Parsippany Library Book Club, Glacier Hills Pool and Spring Lake Beach Community. Marilyn was one of the most affable people and took a genuine interest in others. She was adopted by many as a friend and family through her community, travels, and quiet altruistic efforts. Most importantly, she was adopted as "Mom" by many of her daughters' friends along the way. It is a testament to her wonderful legacy when so many people say with a smile “everyone knew your mother.” Marilyn is survived by her loving daughters, Diane Napolitano and Andrea LoMonaco, and son-in-law, John Napolitano, caring sister, Jo-Ann Bradley, and cherished nieces and nephews, Caryn, Todd, Kevin and Keith Bradley, Elise Hoffman, Paul Magers, Chris and Charles "Chuck" Compton, and Mickie and Eddie LoMonaco. Marilyn was an avid traveler and her ashes will be spread in many places that she visited and loved. Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate a life well lived at Calandra's Mediterranean Grill (outdoor tent), 118 Route 46 East, Fairfield, New Jersey 07004 (connected to the Hampton Inn and Suites) on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 11 am - 2 pm.
