Obituary of Dolly E. DelBene

Please share a memory of Dolly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dolly DelBene (Mischiara) of Morristown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday April 28, 2021, at the age of 70. Dolly was a lifelong resident of Morristown and attended Morristown High School, class of 1968. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church. Dolly was a childcare provider for 40 years before retiring in 2010. She had a huge impact on many families. She was recognized in Woman’s Day Magazine in 1980 for the care she provided. She had a magnetic personality, making friends with everyone she came in contact with. Despite her long battle with cancer, she always had a smile on her face. Her strength and courage were admirable. Despite her many hardships, her faith and love for her family gave her the will to keep fighting. A few of the many things she enjoyed was trips to the shore, sitting at the Manasquan Inlet, basking in the sun, and family vacations. She was blessed to have so many wonderful friends. The family is so thankful for them who supported her in so many ways over the years including her best friend of 63 years, Rita Dolen. Dolly is predeceased by her husband of 34 years, James (Jimmy) DelBene who passed away in 2003, also her Mother and Father Dorothy and Anthony. She is survived by her three children, Jimmy DelBene and wife Michelle of Rahway, Sean DelBene and wife Lynn of Morristown, and Dana Ruglio and husband Paul of Morris Plains. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Justin, Gina, Nicholas, Nicole, Danielle, Anthony, & Dominick. Along with sister Lois Peverelle, brother George Fyfe, sister-in-law Debbie DelBene and Kacy DelBene and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visitation on Sunday May 2, 2021 at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
