Obituary of Brian E. Rongo

Brian E. Rongo, 82, of Morris Plains passed away on April 28, 2021 in Morristown. Born in Hackensack, Brian resided in Morris Plains for the past 60 years. Brian graduated from Morristown High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines as a Corporeal (E-3). Brian was self-employed Auto Repairman. In his spare time, he was a member of the Morris Plains Fire Dept.; serving as Chief from 1987-1988. He was also past-President of the Fire Association and Morris County Fire Chiefs Association. Brian is survived by his devoted children, Sherry Allocco (Charlie), of Aiken, SC, Chris Rongo (Christine), of Milton, VT, and Kevin Rongo (Amy), of Morris Plains. He is also survived by his dear sister, Judy Schultz, of California, and his cherished grandson, Zachary Rongo; as well as many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his beloved wife, Beverly (2018). Inurnment of both Brian's and Beverly's ashes will be at the VA Cemetery in Sparta, NJ at a later date.
