Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary A. Everitt, 79, of Morris Plains, reunited with her beloved husband, Larry, in Heaven on May 5, 2021. Mary passed at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Morristown, Mary resided in Morris Plains for the past 54 years. Mary graduated from Bayley Ellard High School and earned an Associates degree from Dover Business College in 1959. She worked in Accounts Payable for Casio, Inc. for 15 years before she retired in 2003. In her spare time, Mary was a parishioner of St. Virgil's Church; and was very active in the Morris Plains Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Mary is survived by her devoted children, Heather E. Walsh (John), of Lawrenceville, GA, Sean R. Everitt, of Newark, NJ, and Erin M. Everitt, of Morris Plains. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Edward Rooney (Maryann), Margaret Rooney Samuelsen, and Peter Rooney (Carol); as well as her cherished grandchildren, John ("Jack") C. Walsh III, and Lawrence ("Ed") E. Walsh; and adored nieces and nephews, Tom, Tim, Tracy, Susan, Julie, Brian, Marybeth, Patrick, Larry, and John. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence ("Larry"), in 2017. Mary and Larry were sweethearts and inseparable. Where Mary went Larry followed, and vice versa. Wherever they went, they spread their generosity, love and kindness to all who knew them. Both Mary and Larry will be truly missed by the Morris Plains community. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:00-11:30am at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Mary will be held (immediately following visiting hours) at 12:00pm (Noon) at St. Virgil's Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Mary will be laid to rest with Larry at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. **Guests entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear a face mask, or face covering, for the duration of their stay.
