Obituary of Carl R. Eckardt

Carl Robert Eckardt , 90, of Morris Plains passed away at his home on May 15, 2021. Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and Seton Hall University. He was a Manager and long-time devoted employee at GAF for many years. Carl was also a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Mary; and his devoted children, Mary Elizabeth, John and Thomas. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Eckardt, and sister, Regina Keating; as well as his cherished grandsons, Keith, Justin, and Daniel; and his adored great-grandchildren, Avery, Nino and Lily. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, M ay 18, 2021 from 5-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Memorial Service for Carl will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:30am at the Funeral Home. (*While visiting with the family at the Funeral Home, CDC Guidelines should be followed – Social Distancing & Masks are required.) Interment will be private.
