Obituary of Gerald A. Manochio

Gerald A. Manochio, 57, of Morris Plains, NJ, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Gerald “Jerry” was born in Livingston, NJ and lived in Maplewood, NJ throughout his early life. He moved to Union, NJ when he was 27 with his beloved wife, Nancy (neé Kaes) Manochio. Eventually, they settled in New Providence, NJ. He worked at St. Barnabas Medical Center for 40 years as a Radiography Technologist and a PACs Systems Administrator. In 2016, Jerry moved to his new home in Morris Plains, NJ with his girlfriend, Patricia (neé Martinez), after his wife, Nancy, passed away in 2011. In 2019, Jerry and Patricia were pronounced husband and wife. Together they fused their two families into a backassward crew of pirates. Jerry loved his family, the beach, and the Miami Dolphins. He was known for his amazing sense of humor and infinite love for his family. Jerry is survived by his cherished wife, Patricia Manochio, his beloved children, Jerry Tyler Manochio and his girlfriend, Jessica Daniel, Marc Manochio and his girlfriend, LeNia Goff, Carly Manochio and her husband, Christopher Forte, step-children, Ashley Zevallos and her boyfriend, Ismael Gonzalez, and Jair Rinaldo Zevallos. He is also survived by his devoted siblings, Glenn Manochio and his wife, Jennifer, and Gina Rowland and her husband, TJ, and his adoring six nieces and nephews, Tommy, Ryan, and Gina Rowland, Jessica, Kevin, and Kristin Manochio. Jerry leaves behind many loving in-laws and friends. Jerry is predeceased by his wife, Nancy Manochio, and parents, Gerald and Judith Manochio. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 2-6 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private to family.
