Obituary of Barbara E. Allen

Barbara E. Allen, 83, of Florham Park passed away at home on August 17, 2021. Born in Orange, NJ, Barbara resided in Newark before moving to Florham Park 57 years ago. Barbara earned her B.A. degree in Teaching from Kean University. She taught in the Florham Park school system for 15 years. She was also the owner of Kelly’s Deli in Florham Park for seven years. More recently, Barbara was the Kitchen Manger for the Birchwood Manager in Whippany for 23 years, before she retired in August 2013. Barbara was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Florham Park. Barbara is survived by her devoted children, James E. Allen and his wife, Stephanie M. Allen, of Florham Park. She is also survived by her sister, Maureen Sietz, and her husband, John Sietz, also of Florham Park; her cherished grandchildren, Kaelyn Allen, Norah Allen, and Harper Allen; as well as her dear niece and nephew, Debra Sietz and John Sietz. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00am at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Avenue, Florham Park. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
