Obituary of Robert James Hunter, Jr.

Robert James Hunter, Jr. May 22, 1954 – September 16, 2021 Robert James "Rob" Hunter, Jr., 67, formerly of Madison and more recently from Columbia, SC, passed away on September 16, in Vermont. He was born in Morristown and resided for many years in Madison. He recently moved to Columbia, SC, to spend more time with his daughter, Jessica. Rob was an amazingly devoted father, beloved son, brother and uncle, who enjoyed writing fiction and loved biking and the Jersey Shore. He worked as a waiter at The Grand Café in Morristown for many years as well as the Tabor Road Tavern and other restaurants in New Jersey. Rob is survived by his daughter, Jessica Hunter of Columbia, SC. His is also survived by his siblings: Mark Hunter (Bridgette), Greg Hunter, Brian Hunter (Gislaine), Kathy Hunter and Michael Hunter (Diana), 11 nieces and nephews and his former wife, Debra Kiser. He was predeceased by his father, Robert James Hunter, Sr, his son, Robert James Hunter, III, and his mother, Helen Wolsky Hunter. Plans for a memorial/Celebration of Life will be made at a future time. The family kindly requests your loving thoughts and prayers for his daughter, Jessica.
