Obituary of William J. Barry

William J. "Bill" Barry, 56, passed away on October 13, 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York after a courageous battle with a long illness. Born in Jersey City, Bill resided in Bayonne before moving to Madison 55 years ago. Bill earned his B.S. degree in Political Science from Farleigh Dickinson University. He worked as a Site Supervisor for Securitas Co. in Madison for 15 years. He was also a parishioner of St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison. Bill is survived by his dear mother, Mary Barry, of Madison; and his devoted siblings, Joseph Barry, of Madison, Mary Alice Malise, and her husband, Joseph, of Independence, NJ, and Elizabeth Beale, and her husband, Brian, of Andover, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Jennifer Malise, Joseph Malise, and Bonnie Beale. Bill was predeceased by his father, William J. Barry, Jr. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. (*Guests are respectfully requested to wear masks while indoors.) A Funeral Mass for Bill will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. (The Mass will also be live-streamed on the Church's website: www.svmnj.org). Interment will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison.
