Obituary of John F. Hark

John F. Hark - Husband, Father, Grandfather John Frank Hark, died peacefully at home on October 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Oct. 15, 1946 in Morristown, NJ to Edward and Mary L. (Darby) Hark. John was a graduate of Morristown High School, Class of 1964, and the County College of Morris. Upon high school graduation he joined the US Marine Corps and proudly served from 1964 - 1968. He returned home and became a police officer with the Township of Hanover, retiring as Captain of Police in 1994. John was a kind, and caring man and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and working on projects with his seven adored grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Terri (Hill) Hark, sons John Hark Jr., (Amy) of The Woodlands, Tx., James Hark (Angela) of Cedar Knolls NJ, and daughter Jill Meerwarth (Thomas) of Morristown NJ, grandchildren, Vittoria Hark Passaro, James Hark Jr., Julia Hark, William Meerwarth, Nicole Meerwarth, Gabriella Meerwarth and Saylor Hark, brothers Edward L. Hark Jr., Austin TX and Joseph R. Hark, Pendleton, SC. Arrangements are by the Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains, NJ. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family requests donations in John’s name to Tunnel to Towers, or your favorite charity.
