Obituary of Theresa A. Taratko

Theresa A. Taratko, of Morris Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old. Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Edward A Taratko Jr. She was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and resided in Morris Township for over 50 years where she was a faithful parishioner at St. Virgil's Roman Catholic Church. Theresa is survived by her devoted daughters, Geri Zimmermann and Arlene McGovern, and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Christine Gatti, and her husband, John, and Jenifer Zimmermann, and her partner, Ricky; as well as her spoiled great-grandchildren, Johnny, Jackson and Julia; and numerous adored nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Ignatius and Emily (Filip) Blazewicz, her son, Robert Taratko, and her siblings, John Blazewicz, Andrew Blazewicz, Stanley Blazewicz, William Blazewicz, and Mary Krapf. A Funeral Mass for Theresa will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Virgil's Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. (*Guests are respectfully requested to wear masks while indoors.) Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
