Douglas R. "Doug" Ellsworth/Claxton, 83, of Morris Plains, passed away at Livia Health & Senior Living in East Hanover after a long illness. During his teaching career, in the Summer, Doug was also the Assistant Director of Camp Sankaty Head, a golf camp for boys in Nantucket, MA. During his many years of involvement with Camp Sankaty Head, Doug became Director and eventually Director Emeritus. He often referred to his caddies as "His Boys." Doug is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (Freeman) Ellsworth; and Dottie and Norman Claxton; and their extended family.
