Obituary of Sonia Gomez

Sonia Gomez (nee Moreno), 78, of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, passed away in Morristown on March 25, 2022.

 

Born in Quimbaya, Colombia, Sonia emigrated to America and moved to Morristown before residing in Cedar Knolls.

Before her retirement in 2005, Sonia worked aa Machine Operator for Fabricated Plastics for 33 years.

Sonia was a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Margaret's of Scotland Roman Catholic Church in Morristown.

 

Sonia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Rodrigo Gomez, devoted children, Cesar Gomez and his wife, Clarena, Roberto Gomez and his wife, Kathie, and Lelia Tamen and her husband, Hocine, adoring grandchildren, Jonathan Gomez, Leslie Gomez, Kayla Gomez, Lauren Gomez, Adlan Tamen,  and Meriem Tamen. Sonia is also survived by her cherished siblings, Aleida Camacho, Melba Moreno, Zully Echeverry. Sonia is predeceased by her beloved siblings, Dolly Gomez, Analia Para, Rosabla Arbelaez, Jaime Moreno, Alonso Moreno.

 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 10 am, at St Margaret’s of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
