Obituary of Eugene M. McMahon

Beloved Husband & Loving Father Eugene M. McMahon, 78, of Madison, passed away on March 29, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Manhattan, NY, Eugene resided in Madison for 40 years. He graduated from Madison High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 – 1963. Eugene worked as a Truck Driver for RedStar Trucking Company in Newark for 15 years, before retiring in 2006. He was also a member of the American Legion. Eugene is survived by his dear wife, Virginia; and loving children, Michael, Catherine, and Brian McMahon. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, John McMahon, and Claire and John Povilaitis; as well as his two cherished grandsons, Matthew and Jason McMahon, and several adored nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 4-8pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Mass for Eugene will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Church, 4 Convent Road, Morristown. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
