Obituary of Raymond W. Errickson

Raymond W. Errickson, 85, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara (Loth) Errickson: his daughter, Loren Walsh and her husband, Gary; his daughter, Susan Wood and her husband, David; his son, David Errickson and his wife Meg; his two brothers, Vernon and Arthur; grandchildren Katharine Walsh, Kevin Walsh, and his wife Jacky; Erricka and Daniel Reardon, Nathan Wood; and Rebecca and Luke Errickson; his great-grandson, Connor Walsh; as well as many other family members & friends. Ray was loved dearly by his family and will be missed tremendously. Ray was born in Newark, NJ, raised in Livingston, and attended Grover Cleveland High School. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1953 with a degree in geology. He served in the United States Army as a psychiatric assistant. Ray and Barbara were married in 1955 at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, and moved to Morris Plains in 1961, where they raised their family. Ray was an active member at PCM, serving as elder, a member of the Older Adult Committee, the AAA Men at Work group, Potluck Presbyterians, & sang in both the Chancel Choir & Men’s Chorus. Ray was also involved with Families Anonymous & Mrs. Wilson’s Treatment Services for Women (Alfre Inc.). Ray spent the majority of his career at Parke Davis as the Director of Conventions and Exhibits. The memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 22, at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alfre, Inc. (Mrs. Wilson’s) or The Presbyterian Church in Morristown.
