Obituary of Diann Marie Speranza

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-Law & Homemaker

Diann Speranza, 76, of Morristown passed away on May 23, 2022 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

Born in Clark, NY, Diann resided in Denville, NJ until she moved to Morristown 16 years ago.

Diann earned a B.A. degree from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1998. She was a homemaker and lovingly took care of her family. She was also a volunteer with the Deirdre O’Brien Child Advocacy Center, and was a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Diann’s love for chocolate was well known but that does not compare to her love for her family, friends and her community. She was always the first to offer help and Diann felt great joy in improving the lives of those around her.

Diann is survived by her loving husband, Ernest; and her devoted children, Robert Speranza, and his wife, Amy, of Raleigh, NC, and John Speranza, and his wife, Ashley, of Madison, NJ. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Ames Marino, and his wife, Wendy, of Somers, NY, Peggy Masterjoseph, of Florida; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Christopher, Oscar, and Jasper.

A Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. (*Masks are optional for guests while inside the Funeral Home.) A Memorial Mass for Diann will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private.
