Obituary of Angela Margaret Janes

ANGELA  MARGARET  JANES,  a longtime resident of Morristown, NJ,  died peacefully on May 21 at Kendal at Longwood Nursing Care, Kennet Square, Pa. She was surrounded by loving family members.

 

Born in 1942 to Lucille and Frank Carrieri of Astoria, NY, Angela was educated in Queens at St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School and St. Agnes Academic High School. Trained in Lab Technology and phlebotomy at Brooklyn Community College, Angela worked in hospitals, medical research labs and private medical practices in Manhattan.  She retired after many years working at Blair Medical Associates, Morristown, NJ.  

 

Angela enjoyed fashion, traveling, cooking, photography and socializing with friends and family.  Along with her beloved husband of 32 years, J. Bill Janes (deceased 2003 ) she participated in historical reenactments of American Revolutionary War battles,  creating authentic costumes and battlefield camp-meals for each event.  Angela served as Historian for the Morristown Seniors.

 

Angela is survived by her devoted sisters and brothers- in- law; Frances and Joseph Cuneo of Springfield, Pa.  and Maryann and Jean-Pierre Halbwachs of New Rochelle, NY. Niece Susan Brogan (Gabriel) of West Chester, Pa. and Nephews David Cuneo (Marie) of Franklin, Ma., Stephen Cuneo (Kelli) of West Chester, Pa, Ian Halbwachs of Brooklyn, NY and Vincent Halbwachs of Brooklyn, NY will miss their beloved Auntie Angela.

 

A memorial service celebrating Angela's life will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains.  Donations may be made in Angela’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to your favorite charity.
