Obituary of Wendy L. Carroll

Wendy Lee Carroll, 66, of Morristown, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2022.

Born in Kansas City, MO, shortly thereafter the family moved to Florida.  Wendy resided in Sarasota, Florida through high school.  She moved to Brooklyn, NY before moving to Morristown 35 years ago.

Wendy graduated from Pine View High School in Sarasota, FL and then went on to earn her B.S. degree in Economics from Union College, Schenectady, NY in 1978.

Wendy worked as a Systems Engineer for IBM Corporation from 1978 to 1988. Mostly recently, she worked as a Bookkeeper for Dr. Steven Richter, DDS and Dr. Jeffrey Miller, MD, until she retired in 2021.

Wendy was a parishioner of Assumption Church in Morristown.  She was also a member of the Spring Brook Country Club “9-Holers”, Morristown Memorial Women’s Association, and Morris School District PTA.

Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Brian P. Carroll; and her devoted children, Kathleen, of Culver City, CA; Brendan, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Polido, of Bronxville, NY, and Kevin, of Morristown, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Oliver and Miles Carroll; her beloved brother, Greg, and his wife, Marla Hampton, of Grapevine, TX; and her adored nieces and nephews, Riley Carroll, Delany Smith, Caitlin, Daniel, Meghan, and Michael Ferguson, Michael and Katie Mauldin, and Tyler and Matthew Hampton. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Mary Katherine Hampton, and her sister, Cheryl Mauldin.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Memorial Mass for Wendy will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00am at Assumption Church, 91 Maple Avenue, Morristown. Interment will be private.
