Obituary of Richard W. Giangrande

Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Richard William Giangrande Sr., of Florham Park, NJ, formerly Boca Raton, FL, peacefully passed away in his home on July 28th, 2022.

Richard was born in Union City, NJ to Anna and Peter Giangrande on December 31st 1933. Richard proudly served in the Navy on the USS Hartley from 1957 to 1961.

He wore many hats; from the journalist known as Scoop in Union City to the king of craps in Atlantic City, Richard embraced the journey of life. Together with his wife, Angela, they founded A&R Beauty Supply in 1977, which they owned and operated on Morristown's South Street until 2018.

Known as "Mr. G", Richard was a best-in-class business man.  From vendors to customers, the relationships he built would last a lifetime. Above all else,

Richard's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Angela; his loving children, Anna, Rose, Richard Jr., son-in law Anthony, and daughter-in law Mary; and his 8 grandchildren, Alexa, Alexander, Adam, Harrison, Aliza, Alaina, Christian, and Augustus.

Richard truly was a one of a kind man who touched the hearts of many. He will be deeply missed and will continue to live on through those he loved.

Funeral service will be held at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison, NJ on August 2nd. Visitation at 11:30am; Mass at 12pm; Burial at St. Vincent Martyr Cemetery on Shunpike Road. (*Guests are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccine status.)

Arrangements were under the care of Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler, Madison.
