Obituary of Charlean L. Adams

Charlean Adams, 93, of Morris Plains, NJ, who formerly resided in Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on September 18, 2022 at The Country Home Memory Care. She was the loving wife of the late Donald Adams, Sr. for 61 years and a devoted mother to Donald Adams, Jr. and his wife, Mei-Miau Wu. Charlean was creative and innovative in making home decorations, quilts, and desserts. She lovingly served for many years as a volunteer in the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary of Severn, MD. She also attended Heritage Community Church in Severn, MD, and Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ.

Charlean was born to Anah (Wells) Minnix and Aylvire Minnix on November 12, 1928 in Norton, VA, and moved to Baltimore, MD, when she was 16 years old. In 2015, she relocated to Morris Plains, NJ. Charlean is predeceased by her siblings, Howard Minnix of Lakeland, FL, and Dorothy (Minnix) Russell of Hesperia, CA, and her stepbrothers, Mickey Lucas of Glen Burnie, MD, and Allen Lucas of Pasadena, MD. She is survived by her stepbrothers, Kenneth Lucas of Pasadena, MD, and Dennis Lucas of Pasadena, MD, and her son, Donald Adams, Jr. and his wife, Mei-Miau Wu of Morris Plains, NJ.
