Obituary of Vernon L DeGraw Jr

Vernon L. DeGraw, 83, passed away on October 27, 2022 in Blairstown, NJ, after a long illness. He was born in Brookside, NJ, and resided in Morris Plains, NJ, prior to moving to Blairstown 27 years ago.

Vernon was self-employed as a floor installer and refinisher for 47 years.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann DeGraw, and his loving children, Laura DeGraw, Mickey DeGraw, Roxbury, NJ, Leslie Evans (Thomas Cisewski), Brookfield, Ct., and Matt Lake, Blairstown, NJ, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Matthew Lake, Michael Macioce, Rebecca DeGraw, Parker Evans, Dylan McGraw, Blake Evans, and Ryan Evans. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Totten, Succasunna, NJ, in addition to 15 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond DeGraw.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5-8 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at Dangler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations may be made in Vernon’s memory to Tunnels to Tower, Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) or Compassus (Hospice), Parsippany-Troy-Hills, NJ.
