Obituary of Richard L. Smith

Richard L. Smith of Denville,  New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2023. 

He was born Morristown and raised in Morris Plains, New Jersey.   He worked for the State of New Jersey at  Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital for over 40 years in Occupational Therapy and the Work  and Training Program.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved gardening and making special holiday pins for friends and family. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann (Ahart) Smith, his three daughters; Colleen Zukowski and her husband         
Scott, and their children Gabrielle and Michael, of Newton, New Jersey, Diane Wright and husband Jim of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Michelle Smith of Denville, New Jersey.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
