Obituary of Stephen J. Perren

Stephen J. Perren, 79, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Jersey City, Stephen resided in Denville before moving to Morris Plains 23 years ago.

Stephen proudly served his country as a “Torpedo Man 3” in the U.S. Navy.

Stephen earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1977. He worked as an Engineer for multiple companies until he retired in 2015.

Stephen was also a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Anne; and his devoted children, Lisa, of Lutherville, MD, Christopher, of Oak Ridge, NJ, and Deidre, of Denville, NJ. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Roberta and Donna, of Toms, River, NJ, and Kenneth, of Deerfield, FL; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel and Hailey.

Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. A Memorial Mass for Stephen will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. Inurnment of ashes will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
