Frank J. Leanza of Morristown, formerly of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday. January 29th, 2023, at the age of 97.

Born in Manhattan, New York, Frank was a graduate of New York University and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Prior to retiring, he was the founder of Polytech Coating, a paint manufacturing business in Rockaway, NJ. Frank loved to work in his vegetable garden, make homemade pizza and master Sudoku puzzles.

A selfless and devoted man, Frank cherished time with his family above all.  Beloved husband of the late Carmen Leanza, nee Santa Maria (2007), he is survived by his four sons, Frank P. Leanza and his husband Joe of Kinnelon, Charles Leanza and his wife Debbie of Randolph, Christian Leanza of Morristown and Michael Leanza and his wife, Cherie of Bernardsville; and four daughters, Pamela Leanza of Rockaway, Donna Wnuk and her husband, Bruce of Succasunna, Lisa Going and her husband, Denis of Morris Plains, Andrea Picillo and her husband, Tony of North Port, Florida; and beloved daughter-in-law, Linda Leanza.  Frank is also survived by his dear sister Mary Visci. Frank was a devoted grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plans. (A continued flow throughout the Funeral Home will aid in keeping all of us healthy and safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.) A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Frank’s honor to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org), or The Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in memory of his wife Carmen.
