Obituary of Barbara Bierwirth Crowder

Barbara Bierwirth Crowder, 93 went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on March 23, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center.  She was born in Orange, NJ, and lived in Montclair, NJ, prior to moving to Madison, NJ, 68 years ago.

Barbara graduated from Montclair High School and attended Hood College, Frederick, MD. She was a devoted homemaker and lovingly took care of her family. She was a member of the Parsippany Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Carl G. Crowder III and her daughter, Nanon Ruth Crowder, both of Madison, NJ. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Granger Bierwirth and sister, Jane Simpson.

A graveside service was held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair, NJ. The family requests that donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Parsippany Baptist Church, P O Box 5365, Parsippany, NJ  07054 (www.parsippanybaptist.org) or to the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Squad, 29 Prospect St., Madison, NJ  07940 (www.madisonems.org).
