Obituary of George E. Gallini, Sr.

George Edward “Buzzy” Gallini, Sr., 72, of Barnegat, NJ passed away on March 22, 2023 at Southern Ocean Hospital in Manahawkin, NJ.

Born in Summit, George resided in Convent Station, NJ prior to retiring and relocating to Barnegat, NJ.

George graduated from Morristown High School, and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army/National Guard.

George was the second-generation co-owner, along with his father and brothers, of Springfield Heating & Air Conditioning in Springfield, NJ. In his spare time, George enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, and swimming.

George loved his family dearly; called or texted his children daily; and loved spending holidays and birthdays with them. George’s relationship with his children was like no other ­­– this was evident through the constant support and guidance he gave to them, and the sense of humor he brought to their lives. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

George is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Paula (nee Dontigny); and his devoted children, Tracy Moore, and her spouse, Leigh Anne, of South Pasadena, FLA, George Edward Gallini, Jr., of Denville, NJ, and Beth Anne Shepard, and her husband, Jeff, of Florham Park. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Gallini, Jr., and his wife, Priscilla, of Florida, Louis Gallini, and his wife, Blaire, of Texas; as well as his cherished grandchildren, or the “apples of his eye”, Joseph Castillo, John Ramirez, Courtney Ruscoe, George Gallini, III, Amanda Morgan Gallini, Morgan Elizabeth Shepard, Sydney Marie Shepard, and Camryn Juliette Shepard; and his adored nieces and nephews, Joseph Gallini, III, Susan Schneider, Kathy McDonough, Jennifer Petrosinelli, and Brett Gallini. George is predeceased by his former wife, Linda Mikell Gallini, and his sister, Gloria Stanelli.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ. A Graveside Service and interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
