Obituary of Grace L. Miller

Grace L. Miller, 96, passed away on April 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family in Morris Plains, NJ.

Born and raised in Morristown, Grace resided in Morris Plains for the past 50 years. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1943.

Grace worked as an Account Reconciliation Specialist at PNC Bank of Livingston, NJ before she retired in 1997. She was also a long-time parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains for 55 years.

Grace is survived by her devoted children, Suzanne R. Lee, of Morris Township, and Joan H. Kichury, and her husband, John, of Morris Plains. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Tracey, of Morristown, NJ; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Paul Miller, Victoria Miller, Christine Kurtz, Mark Lee, Lauren Gambino, Jillian Caruso, and Matthew Lee; and her adored great-grandchildren, Timothy and Tyler Fisk, Mackenzie, Brooke and John Dougherty, Patrick and Jake Kurtz, Gabriella and Maya Gambino, and Calleigh Caruso.

She was predeceased by her husband, James P. Miller (1998), her son, James R. Miller (2022), her son-in-law, Peter J. Lee, Jr. (2022), her grandson, Michael F. Caruso (2023); and her siblings, G. Anthony Loreto, Philomena (“Min”) Campbell, and Ann Brennan.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morris Township.
