Obituary of Janet M. Huth

Janet Huth died of a stroke on May 31, 2017 at The Oaks at Denville where she resided for four years. She was 98 years old.
Mrs. Huth was the daughter or Dr. Herbert J. Miller and Marguerite Taylor Miller. Janet was born in Utica, New York and lived in New Berlin, New York for many years. She received her B.E. degree from Oneonta State Teachers College, and was a New York State teacher until 1946. She then married Donald Huth and moved to New Jersey. Following a short stay in Westfield, she and her husband moved to Morris Plains in 1949. She was a Morris Plains teacher for seventeen years, retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Huth’s favorite hobby was genealogy. She was an active member of the Morris Area Genealogy Society, having served historian, program chairman, recording secretary, and several other offices.
For many years, Janet, her husband Donald, and their 5 children enjoyed their lake cabin in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. Both Donald and Janet took an active part in the Rondaxe Lake Association, where he served as president, and they both served on numerous committees.
Mrs. Huth was predeceased in 2011, by her husband Donald of 65 years. She is survived by daughters, Emily Svenson of Denville, Carol and her husband Merrill Hennion of Morris Township, sons William and his wife Eileen of Hackettstown, Roger and his wife Eileen of Morris Plains, and Douglas and his wife Joan of East Stroudsburg, Pa. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She will be warmly remembered and deeply missed.
Funeral arrangements are by Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Viewing will be Sunday, June 4th, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00pm, and funeral Monday, June 5th @11:00am at Dangler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her friends at The Oaks at Denville, especially her next door neighbor Joan who always watched over her. And also, her aids, especially Massa, her live-in aide for her dedication, keeping her well cared for, entertained, looking good, and getting her out and about.
