Carole M. Stankiewicz, longtime resident of North Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023, at the age of 81. Carole faced numerous health challenges throughout her life, but her unwavering determination remained a source of inspiration until the very end. Her loving heart and radiant smile illuminated the lives of all who were fortunate to know her.

She was born in Newark, NJ, to the late Adam and Mary (Sadowski) Chapleski. Carole is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Stankiewicz. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews: Lorraine Chapleski, Cindy Weir, Richard Chapleski (passed), Wendy Castro, Adam Chapleski, and Diego Castro. Carole's role as a great-aunt brought her immense joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and affection for her great-nieces and great-nephews: Jessica Prater, Nicole Castro, Christina Metzler, Matthew Castro, Elizabeth Chapleski, and Lauren Chapleski. Further, Carole's memory extends to her great-great nephews and nieces, Elias Prater, Oliver Prater, Rowan Metzler, Theodore Metzler, and Maeve Metzler. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Joseph, Richard, and Robert Chapleski.

Carole found immense happiness in life's simple pleasures. Playing cards with friends brought her great joy, and her green thumb was a testament to her caring touch. Holidays held a special place in her heart, as she cherished the opportunity to be surrounded by loved ones, indulging in food, games, and the warmth of her family's presence.

Visiting hours will be held at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home in Madison, NJ, on Monday, July 17th, from 3-6pm. A brief service to celebrate Carole's life will take place at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler  Funeral Home in Madison, NJ, on Tuesday, July 18th, at 12pm.
