Obituary of Cathy Rom Loomis

Cathy R Loomis 69 died August 4 at Morristown Medical Center. Born and raised in Morristown, Cathy lived in Morris Plains.

Cathy graduated from Morristown High School class of ‘72. She went on to hold various positions with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., Ricoh and AIG. In 2017 after 25 years of service she retired from AIG. 

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Nancy and Joseph LoSapio, Charles Loomis and her twin sister Sharon Scherzer. She is survived by her wife June Bessler, her treasured Aunts Anna Bartek, Nancy Sibona and Virginia Losapio; as well as many loved cousins and numerous friends that filled her heart with love, laughter, and memories. 

Cathy was happiest spending time with her family and her close group of cherished friends. Spring and summer she could be found enjoying her yard and on a winter's evening sitting fireside at home. In addition to camping and traveling, Cathy also enjoyed board games, brain teasers, and jigsaw puzzles. 

A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced, with a reception to follow.
