Aunt Shade was a beautiful lady and favorite aunt. Shade was always gracious, kind and treated everyone she met with dignity. Family, friends and even those she just met knew she was a special person.
Our family has so many treasured memories of Aunt Shade from trips to Madison when we brought our Nana there for visits, to times spent in Harwich at Uncle Norman's and Aunt Shade's house. They were always the consummate hosts. They always made a point of attending special occasions for family members; graduations, weddings, retirements, and holidays. Aunt Shade continued to host and attend events after Uncle Norman passed. My sister, Colleen and I had the absolute privilege of spending vacation time with Shade in Captiva a few years back and loved every minute we spent with her.
The memories are too numerous to list and we feel honored to have known and loved this special lady. Our hearts go out to our cousin Shade, her husband Chris, and her children Patrick, Thomas and Shade as well as our cousins Craig, Kelly, Kim and Cliff. She will be dearly missed.
