Obituary of Ruth M. Selle

Ruth M. Selle passed away on November 13, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. She was 57.

Ruth was born on June 5th, 1966 in Summit, NJ to Frances and Dietrich Selle. Ruth was raised in Morris Plains, NJ and she later resided in Chatham, NJ. Ruth was a proud graduate of Morristown High School and St. Elizabeth University, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nutritional Studies. She worked at Mondelez International for over 27 years and volunteered as Chairperson at the American Association of Candy Technologists New Jersey/New York.

Ruth enjoyed hiking, visiting friends at the Jersey Shore, and traveling wherever her heart desired with those closest to her. 

She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and cat mom. Ruth is survived by her father Dietrich, brother David (wife Susan), nephew Gregory and niece Kimberly. Her beloved cats Stripy and Miss Piggy and many friends, neighbors, coworkers. She has reunited with her beloved mother Frances once again. 

Family and friends are invited to attend her celebration of life on December 2 at Dangler Funeral Home in Morris Plains, NJ. Visitation hours are 2-5pm, with a Memorial Service at 4pm.
