Obituary of George Anderson
George Anderson, 95, of Denville, passed away on December 9, 2023.
Born in Lynchburg, VA, George resided in Florham Park before moving to Denville 16 years ago.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Koren War.
George earned his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State Univrsity in 1956. He worked for the Union Camp Paper Company for 25 years before he retired in 1981.
George was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons (Dover, NJ); and parishoner of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison.
George is survived by his loving daughters, Georgina Maines, and Lisa Oxenreider; his adored grandchildren, Melvin K. Oxenreider, III, Christopher A. Oxenreider and wife Ciara Oxenreider, Meghann Smith and husband, Paul W. Smith, III, Alysa Percell, and husband, William Percell, Melissa Chaparro and husband, Carlos Chaparro; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Paul Smith IV, Trigg Smith, Angelina Percell, Anthony Percell, Maya Chaparro, Miles Chaparro, Henry Oxenreider, Aria Oxenreider, and Logan Oxenreider; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. George was preceed in death by his beloved wife, Alyce Hardison Anderson, and his son, Christopher George Anderson.
A Memorial Service for George will be held at a later date. Interment of his ashes will be at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison.
