Obituary of David A. Pomfret
~~David A. Pomfret, 88, a life-long resident of Cedar Knolls, passed away on July 19, 2017.
David worked as a Union brick layer and was a former Foreman and Super for a construction company until his retirement in 1980. He also worked as a Job Representative for the County of Morris until 1990.
David is survived by his loving wife, of 68 years, Dorothy; and his three devoted daughters, Christine and her husband, Cliff Hardesty, of Park City, Utah, Dorothy and her husband, Robert Herring, of Cedar Knolls, and Patricia and her husband, Henry Abderhalden, of Kinnelon. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Lauretta Boyd, of Bonita Springs, Fla, Mary Ann Marino, of Whippany; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan Herring, Regan Fredo, Robert Herring, and Lauren Abderhalden; as well as his four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 2-5 PM at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for David will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10:00am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
