Dear Chris, Ben & Sofia - We are saddened by the passing of Ellen into eternity. We pray that God almighty will give you all and the entire family comfort, strength and peace that surpasses all understanding during this difficult time. I cannot imagine your grief losing Ellen, but as believers we know that death is just our visa into heaven and as Chris mentioned, it is good news for a follower of Christ. Jesus has conquered death on the cross for all of us and we look forward to the day that we will see all our loved ones again. We hope to connect with you all soon. Ellen was one of the very first friends I made at Society For Seaman's Children, in 1987. I truly cherish our friendship and am crushed by her passing. My deepest condolences to the family. Ellen, may you rest in eternal peace and may perpetual light shine upon you. You are loved & will be sorely missed my friend.

Dear Letta Family, I am heartbroken over the loss of Ellen. We have been praying so hard for her here in FL. I pray our Heavenly Father brings peace and comfort to you. Ellen was such a a tremendous supporter of our youth ministry and Appalachia ministries We also shared a live of Boston Terries. She will truly be missed by all.

To Christopher, Benjamin and Sofia; also to the Letta and Spatola families, I send my most sincere sympathies I met Ellen a couple of times during our visit with Norma and Joe a number of years ago. We spent an afternoon at their home for a barbecue and socializing. I recall the welcoming hospitality of both she and Chris at their home. I feel much sorrow for the sadness that you Chris, Benjamin and Sofia are feeling at this so very sad time; also you Norma & Joe and Ellen's mother. A couple of years ago, Ellen and her family took a trip to Arizona. She came back excited; she’d finally found the place where she wanted to spend her golden years. She was particularly taken with the fact that all the baristas at the Sedona Starbucks were senior citizens. “That’s what I want to do when I’m 70,” she told me, her eyes shining. Well, God had other plans, but that’s how I’m choosing to picture Ellen now: in a Sedona-like Heaven, happily serving lattes with that bright, beautiful smile of hers .
