Obituary of James August Appis
~~James “Jim” August Appis passed away on July 18, 2017 at his home in Hackettstown, NJ. He was born in Boynton Beach, FL, grew up in Chester, NJ, and, for the past 12 years, resided in Hackettstown, NJ.
Jim received his GED in 2002 from Mendham High School. He worked as a self-employed carpet installer for the past 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy A. Appis (nee Lutz) of 19 years and his mother and father, Jurgen and Kathleen Appis, Chester, NJ, his sister, Marlene Appis-Chung, VA, his brother-in-law, Robert Lutz, TX, as well as a nephew, Brandon Lutz, and a niece, Madison Lutz.
Visitation hours were held from 2-4 pm which concluded with a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, Madison NJ.
