Margherita Stork, 91, born 8/31/32, passed away on 4/5/24 at her home in Florham Park after a brief illness.  Margherita’s parents were Dionigio and Martina (nee Reggiani) Menghini.  She was pre-deceased by her husband John in 1991, sister Nella Pardi (2015), and brothers Leo (1994), Pardo (2002), and Edward (2008) Menghini.  Beloved mother of Catherine Stork and Lisa (Alan) Bensen.  Devoted grandmother of Jacqueline and James Bensen.

Born in Elmhurst, NY, she lived in Olean, Elmhurst, and East Meadow NY before moving with her family to Florham Park in 1966.  She held several jobs over the years, including various administrative and medical office assistant positions.

Some of her fondest memories were childhood years spent on a farm in Washington, NJ and family vacations in Montauk and on Nantucket.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting, and cooking and baking, especially Italian delicacies.  She also was a faithful fan of her grandchildren’s endeavors attending countless musical concerts, football games and little-league baseball games.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00am at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave. Florham Park, NJ .

Donations can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org), a cause that was dear to Margherita’s heart.
