Obituary of Diane M. Plumbo

Diane Plumbo, 70, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, died May 3rd, at home surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

 

Diane was born September 2, 1953 in Morristown, NJ. She graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison, New Jersey in 1971. She met her husband in the drum corp in 1966 at the age of 13 and married in 1973. In 1977 they moved to Hackettstown where they raised their family close to her sister and brother-in-law.

 

She loved watching and attending Yankee games, walking, reading and traveling. Her most loved passion was spending time with her family. She enjoyed vacationing in Lavallette, NJ, the beach was her happy place.  She will always be remembered for infectious laughter and beautiful smile.

 

She is survived by her husband, Ron of 51 years, daughter, Nicole Gutierrez (Plumbo) and husband Rudy, her son Michael Plumbo and wife Virginia, and her grandchildren, Brielle and Matthew as well as beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna Doran, her sister and her husband, Linda and Terry Hanson and brother-in-law Jack Plumbo.

 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 5-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Diane will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:30am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
