Obituary of Arlene A. Davidson

Arlene A. Davidson (nee Paradise), 84, a lifelong resident of New Providence, NJ, passed away on June 2, 2024 at Center for Hope, Scotch Plains, NJ.

Born in Summit, NJ, she graduated from Summit High School and was employed by Summit Trust Co., Summit, NJ, City Federal Savings Bank, New Providence, NJ, and later by Summit Lincoln/Mercury, Summit, NJ.

She married her surviving spouse, Russell S. Davidson, in 1961, and was the loving and gracious mother of Jacquelyn S. Barton (Scott), of South Plainfield, NJ, Russell J. Davidson, of Neshanic Station, NJ, and Todd C. Davidson, of Hampton, NH. Also surviving, a brother, Peter P. Paradise (Christine), of Chester, NJ, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Carmella Paradise, a sister, Joanne Monahan, and a brother Arthur P. Paradise.

Arrangements are by Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ, with a visitation from 4pm-8pm on Friday, June 7, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South Street, New Providence, NJ at 10am on Saturday, June 8, 2024, with an interment following at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Passaic Avenue, Summit, NJ.
