Obituary of William J Barrett, Jr.

William J. Barrett, Jr., 69, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains, NJ.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Boston prior to moving to Madison 13 years ago.

He graduated from Seton Hall Prep, West Orange, NJ, in 1973 and Colgate University in 1977. He went on to obtain a law degree, J.D. (Juris Doctor) from Massachusetts School of Law. He was a member of St. Vincent’s Parish, Madison, NJ.

William is survived by his sister, Pamela Giannone, Florham Park, NJ, and nieces, Marisa, Sarah and Monica. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and William Barrett, Sr.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 9:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, NJ. Interment will be private.
