Obituary of Jane A. Kirkland

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Jane resided in Point Pleasant, NJ and worked at General Accident Insurance Co. where she met her late husband David. They resided in North Arlington and Toms River NJ before moving to Whippany NJ.

Jane was a graduate of West Side High School in Newark NJ. She was a member of the Junior Woman’s Club of North Arlington and past President of the North Arlington Senior Woman's Club. Jane was a volunteer member of the Morris Museum and Bickford Theater in Morristown. She also actively volunteered at Morristown Medical Center. Jane and her husband David in 2001 were named “Volunteers of the Year” by the Morris County Volunteers Association. Jane retired as Secretary and Credit Manager of A.H. Harris & Sons and then went on to work as a teachers assistant in the Morris School District.

Jane enjoyed reading, playing bunko with her friends, was an avid NY Giants football fan and loved spending time with her two Grandsons.

Pre Deceased by her husband David C. and sister Lorraine Glass, Jane is survived by her devoted children David J. Kirkland (partner Stephen) of North Carolina,  LeeAnn Barone (husband Jeffrey) of Morristown NJ, and her cherished Grandsons Drew Barone (wife Melissa) and Craig Barone who gave her so much joy. Recently Jane had the pleasure of welcoming her first Great Grandchild Angelina Milania. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Moglia and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 4-5:30 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 5:30 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ.
