Obituary of David E. Martin

David Edward Martin, 80, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on July 22, 2024 at Care One @ Madison in Morristown, NJ. 

Born at Point Pleasant Hospital, David resided in Lake Hiawatha before moving to Morris Plains 41 years ago. 

David graduated from Toms River High School in 1963. He worked as a Service Manager for Goodyear Tire in Englewood for 44 years, before he retired in 2016. 

He was a member of the Parsippany Presbyterian Church. 

David is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Martin; and his devoted children, David A. Martin, and his partner, Allen, and Robert M. Martin, and his former wife, Erin. He is also survived by his dear brothers, Arthur R. Martin, and his wife, Doris, John R. Martin, and his wife, Leslie, Charlie D. Martin, and his wife, Chrissy; his beloved brother-in-law, Ernie Filip; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Jacob Martin and Olivia Martin. David was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Ruth Martin, his sister, Ruth A. (Martin) Filip; his half-sisters, Beatrice and Mildred Martin, and his half-brothers, Richard and Edward Martin. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 6-9pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Cremation will be private.
