Obituary of Margaret L. Sesera

Margaret “Marge” Sesera (nee Rothfuss), age 94, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, after a long journey battling Alzheimer’s disease. She was a lifelong resident of West Orange, and she attended Gregory Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and West Orange High School where she met her beloved husband of 59 years, Michael.

Family was most precious to Marge. She dedicated all of her time to the raising of her two daughters. Marge and Mike owned and operated East Orange Camera Shop for over 55 years. Marge was also an active board member of St. Barnabas Pastoral Care, she belonged to Francis Byrne Golf Course Ladies Suburbanite Golf Club and was passionate about animal welfare.

Marge is survived by her daughters Karen Zimmerman (Gilbert A., Dec. 2023) of Kilmarnock, Virginia, and Suellen Finger (Ira) of Morris Plains, New Jersey. She was the loving grandmother of Meghan Hamlin of Syracuse, New York and doting great-grandmother of Jacob and Brianna Hamlin.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10 am followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover.
