Aunt Eleanor was a lovely lady, a real class act. She always had a smile for everyone, and I will always remember her cheery greeting to us kids "Hi Doll! How are you??"
One moment I will always remember is at Uncle Frank and Aunt Lil's 25th anniversary, when they decided to renew their vows. Aunt Eleanor stood up for Aunt Lil, and while I can't remember what she wore, I remember thinking how really lovely she was.
She was always a pleasure to visit and spend time with. Her shopping trips, along with Aunt Lil, to New Hampshire were legendary. My dad used to say that the entire economy of the state ticked up after they visited.
She was the last of the "holy trinity" - the three siblings genuinely sweet and kind people. I know my dad adored both of his sisters. It makes me happy to think of the three of them together again in heaven.

Barbara, I am so sorry about your mom's passing. Alzheimer's is a terrible, terrible disease. I did have the pleasure of meeting your mom a few times. I know what a wonderful daughter you were to her and how much you took care of her. Mike and I send our condolences to you and the family.
