Frances ("Fran") Andrea Catherine Yatsko O’Brien
March 4, 1943 – September 10, 2024

Fran O’Brien, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024. Born on March 4, 1943, Fran was a remarkable woman whose warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family touched everyone who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas O’Brien, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised two wonderful children:  Leslie-Ann O’Brien, married to Mark, and Jason O’Brien, married to Melanie. Fran was a devoted grandmother to Mia Thomas O'Brien, Grace O’Brien, and Walker O’Brien, and a joyful great-grandmother to Ariella Francesca McDonald. She also held a special place in her heart for her 30 nieces and nephews, each of whom was deeply loved by her.

Fran was also predeceased by her sisters, Isabel and Helen, her brother, Andy, and her parents, Isabel and Andrew Yatsko. She is survived by her sister, Ann Robitsek, who will forever hold Fran’s memory close.

A proud Brooklynite and true New Yorker at heart, Fran took great pride in her long and successful career. She greatly enjoyed her coffee ice cream and her beloved Dubonnet apéritifs! A world traveler for business and pleasure, Fran was known for her candor and genuine spirit. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, former colleagues, neighbors, and friends. Fran will always be remembered for her kindness, steadfast devotion to loved ones, and the lasting impact she made.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 9:00-10:00am at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial for Fran will be held following the visiting on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison, NJ. Fran will be laid to rest at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison, NJ.
