Obituary of William T. Behre

William "Bill" Behre, 90, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on November 17, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in Easton, PA. 

Born in Madison, Bil resided in Hanover, PA before moving to Bethlehem six weeks ago. 

Bill graduated from Chatham High School in 1952. He worked for J.W. Fasano Construction Company for approximately 40 years. He then worked as a Dispatcher for the Chatham Township Police Department. Bill was also a proud member of the Green Village Fire Department. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed wood-working and fishing. 

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Edith; and his devoted children, Bill Behre, of Audubon, PA, Barbara Cannan, and her husband, Bill, of Bethlehem, PA, Laurie Pastor, of Kent, CT, Cindy Hennebry, of Hackettstown, NJ, and Frank, and his wife, Rosa Greenwaldt, of Randolph, NJ. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Frances; and his siblings, Gloria Rondeau, and Charles Behre. 

Bill was a true gentleman...He was always there to help anyone in need...Everyone who met Bill became his friend.  

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Service for Bill will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
