Obituary of Barbara A. Carroll

Barbara Ann Carroll, 89, passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Bradley Beach, NJ, prior to moving to Denville, NJ, eight years ago.

She graduated from St. Edmund High School, Brooklyn, NY, in 1953. She worked as an Office Manager for Dr. Arthur Saltzman, DDC, Chappaqua, NY. Barbara was a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Brooklyn, NY.

Barbara is survived by her children, Brian, Keith, Greg Michael, Stephen and Jamie, as well as her sister, Bernadette and her brother, Joseph. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathleen, Brendan, Kevin, Jimmy. Ellie, Willie, Riley, Delaney, and great grandchildren, Oliver and Miles as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her devoted husband, George Carroll, in 2018, as well as her daughter, Maura and her son, Mark, and her sister, Mary, and brothers, James, Kevin and John.

Family was the center point of her life and never missed a family event, holiday, birthday, graduation, wedding, baptism, confirmation, regardless of where it was happening, she was there and if not, there was always a phone call, gift, or a card.  She was a devoted Christian, attending Mass daily, and lived life exemplifying Christian principles.  When time permitted, in between her duties working the concessions store at her Independent Living complex, and winning most of the bingo games, she loved to travel with her friends and neighbors at The Oaks at Denville.  She remained active her entire life.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 4-7 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 10am at Assumption Church, Morristown, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
